The 1/18 model is by Kyosho of the Ferrari 365GTB/4 as driven by Paul Newman  (P.L.N.) back in 1977 .  He competed in the Dayton 24 Hour race and finished 5th overall.   The model features opening doors trunk and engine bay with lots of lovely details and and excellent paint finish – an all round stunner of a model and so typical of the Kyosho brand.  The driver figure originally started out as a Le Mans Miniatures figure of Jacky Ickx, and using a scalpel and some Milliput, I “rearranged” his facial features to gain a likeness to Paul Newman (sincere apologies to Jacky!).  The helmet is a resin casting which I converted with the help of some “etch” and wire.  Both figure and helmet are painted with Vallejo acrylics.  This unique combination is available now, “up on the Bay”!
