Ayrton Senna 1/20 scale figure – WIP

Still working on my WIP line-up.  This one is of Ayrton Senna (an old Modellers figure) 1/20 in resin.  I decided to depict him wearing his own logo on what was going to be a very plain white t shirt.  Using acrylics, I’ve blocked in the main colours and have  added the stitching detail on the suit.  I’ll add some Marlboro logos and the like to inject more interest and in particular, I’ll add a large Marlboro panel to the back of the suit…… and the work continues – more later. Ayrton Senna – “Senninha” 1/20 scale figure WIP

This 1/20 scale resin figure of Ayrton Senna has been in my WIP line-up for a while now, and today I eventually got back to painting in some more of the details.   Using a photo of him taken at his home Grand Prix in Brazil (the first GP in ’94), I decided to depict him wearing one of his “Senninha” type T shirts which features the comic character logo of his charitible foundation. Another crop of miniature F1Driver Figures

I’ve just started another crop of Formula One Driver figures – these metal figures in 1/43rd scale are intended to accompany model cars and add a human dimension to diecast collections.  Having said that, as a long time miniature figure painter (mainly military), I always assemble and paint my figures to exhibition standards, so they can be displayed as miniatures in their own right.    These figures are by Denizen Miniatures (run by Chub Pearson) http://www.denizenminiatures.co.uk/ and are probably the best (in terms of detail and anatomical proportions) 43rd scale figures around.  I’ve just assembled, based, undercoated and blocked in the … Continue reading Another crop of miniature F1Driver Figures
